Only ~5% of babies arrive on their due date. The "term" window is medically 37-42 weeks — anything inside that window is normal. Most first babies come at 41+ weeks.

- 1st trimester (0-13 weeks): folic acid 400mcg daily, dating scan at 7-8 weeks, NT scan at 11-14 weeks
- 2nd trimester (14-27 weeks): anomaly scan at 18-22 weeks, glucose tolerance at 24-28, GTT test
- 3rd trimester (28-40 weeks): growth scans every 4-6 weeks, Group B strep at 35-37, hospital bag packed by week 35
